As a creative person, my artistry is crafted in the medium of wet carved concrete. The process is simple. A sand mix concrete is made using three parts sand and one part Portland Cement. This thick slurry, or as I like to call it, the sandpudding, is placed into a box shaped or cylindrical form. After it has set enough to hold its shape, the form is removed. While the material is still soft, I begin carving by hand with a variety of non-powered tools. The piece must be completed before the concrete is too hard to carve.
