This event is open to Tennessee residents only! * 32nd TACA Fall Craft Fair Friday & Saturday, 10am-6pm; Sunday, 10am-5pm Applications for this event will be released in Summer 2009. The TACA Tennessee Craft Fair is the state's premier outdoor showcase for fine craft. Celebrating is 39th anniversary in 2010, the Fair annually attracts over 45,000 people to view the works of 180 of the finest artists and craftspeople from across the state. A signature event in Nashville during the first weekend in May, the TACA Tennessee Craft Fair offers shoppers the opportunity to purchase a wide variety of uniquely handcrafted work, meet and talk with the artists, enjoy a diverse food court, take in special exhibits and demonstrations and create their own works of art. New to the Fair, TACA has opened up the application process to include all photography with no distinction between the traditional wet-print processing and the digital process of creating photos. While digital and traditional process are now accepted under the Photography medium, all artists in all mediums must adhere to the restrictions set forth by TACA and all work created in a commercial setting or lab is strictly prohibited. Recognition Because of its tradition of maintaining high standards of excellence, TACA is renowned for producing festivals that present only the highest level of craftsmanship. TACA Craft Fairs have been designated part of the Top 20 Events in the Southeast by the Southeast Tourism Society, hailed as the #1 Craft Fair in Tennessee by the Harris List, and has been included in the list of "200 Best" craft fairs in America by the Sunshine Artist magazine. Location The TACA Tennessee Craft Fair is held in Centennial Park, located at West End Avenue and 25th Avenue North. This setting is in the heart of the city, and the Fair sits on the lawn in front of Nashville's full-scale replica of the Parthenon.
